We’ve lived on Canvey 41 years and didn’t want to leave the island when deciding to downsize.

Moving to Sandy Bay has been the best decision we’ve ever made. As soon as we walked through the door it felt like home, fully furnished including some cutlery and crockery. We didn’t have to bring anything apart from clothes and personal possessions.

In the 6 years plus, we have been here the park has grown and developed a great community, with lots of activities and clubs you can take part in or just watch the fun. If you feel fed up any day just walk over to the bar where there is usually someone to chat to have coffee or just chill in the relaxed atmosphere.

We have made many friends over the years if you have any problems there is always someone on hand to help. We have residents association which we encourage people to join, they keep everyone up to date with any updates on management proposals. The park looks beautiful with colourful flower displays everywhere and regularly maintained.

If you refer someone to live here and they purchase you will receive an incentive to spread the word. If you’re thinking of moving to Sandy Bay you can’t go wrong.

We came to Sandy Bay in February and we were WOW so impressed we decided then that this is where we wanted to be. We moved into our home in April and we haven’t had a single regret. We love it here.

It’s so peaceful and chilled, everyone is so friendly. A 10 minute dog walk can sometimes take an hour where people stop and chat. There’s a small supermarket on the complex which is so handy if you need something quick. The pool is like a bath once in you don’t want to get out (and the grandchildren love it).

The bar serves great food and drinks and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The sales staff and office are always there to help out with any queries, nothing is ever too much trouble for them.

This is such a great place to live, it’s the best decision we ever made and sorry we didn’t do it earlier.

Friendliness of the community on Sandy Bay is excellent. From when you enter Sandy Bay you always get a warm smile and friendly words from the security staff and any of the team. They always show us and everyone else so much empathy.

In August 2020, we moved into our excellent Omar Colorado home. All fittings in our home are of a high standard and we have had no problems with the items supplied by Omar homes.

The park is always kept to a high standard of cleanliness and all maintenance staff are friendly and helpful, as are all the office staff.

The bar and swimming pool are an excellent place to enjoy relaxation and lovely meals and the team in the bar are always helpful.

The whole park is disabled friendly.

Sandy Bay Bar offers entertainment periodically, games throughout the week, bingo, board games and very good quality breakfast, lunch & dinner served daily.

We enjoy coach trips periodically to see places of interest, theatre, and shopping.
